Lot of six, each 2-3/8x2-7/8" © 1937 by Silver Buck Inc. and issued to promote BLBs. There are a total of 224 cards in this set featuring seven different characters, each in a 32-card subset which include Flash Gordon, Dick Tracy, Popeye, Tom Mix and G-Man. All cards in this lot are from the Buck Jones subset which was numbered 161-192. These are cards #165, 167, 171, 178, 180, 187. Card backs feature story text and include ad "Read The Big Little Book About Buck Jones." Cards have tanned margins, moderate margin and corner tip wear. Aside from some small corner creases, only card #165 has an additional very ft. crease line visible in reflected light. Card art remains clean. Backs show some lt. aging, #180 has a thin .5" ink streak along one edge, not affecting front. Cards overall are VG. The scarcity and size of this set make it one of the most difficult 1930s issues to complete.
