Auction #202 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1553 in auction 202
Item Description
1.5" with no backpaper possibly as issued. Pictured at center of a clock face is a very early washing machine which has had a pair of clock hands artistically overprinted to demonstrate the advertising text "Saves Your Time/Quicker Yet." Strangely the text does not include a company name. There seems to be a logo on the side of the machine but too small to read. Cello surface is just a hair concave as made and the clear celluloid has now taken on a slight yellowish tone but there is no spotting and the piece retains its full gloss. Early 1900's and rare.
