Item Description
1920s. 5.25" tall motor has painted tin housing with wraparound "Johnson Sea-Horse" decal on front and two sides which looks just like the one on the actual full size motor. Back of motor has decal "Johnson Sea-Horse Mf'd Exclusively By Benoliels Merchandise Mart Chicago Ill." Winder, shaft and prop nickel plated. Motor is attached to 12.5" long wooden toy boat of the period with chrome accent piece on top of bow but boat is too light to actually use as motor is too heavy in back. Looks fine as a unit for display. Boat includes original slotted mounting for correct motor at stern as issued. Motor works well. Motor case has a few lt. scuffs and a few oxidation spots but decal is 99% complete. Boat has some scattered lt. wear but overall motor and boat are Fine. Wonderful item for display.
