Item Description
c. mid-1950's toy version of the Office of Naval Research flying platform. Plastic toy is 6.5" dia. with Navy pilot standing in center. Toy has an overall height of 6.75" and front of base has "USN ONR" Navy decal in center. Figure has a small real gas engine between feet with a propeller on underside with everything attached to maker "Wen-Mac" platform box insert. Comes with Poor condition tattered box it was sold in which includes original crayon price of $13.95. Toy has one small .25" chip out of the edge of the circular rim o/w toy is VF. Platform box insert has scattered light wear with a few small tears. VG. Toy has not been tested. Great concept and a wonderful display item.
