Auction #202 - Part II
Item numbers 1554 through 3213 in auction 202
Item Description
3-5/8x4.5" tall overall. 1930s and featuring pair of Mickey figures on the lid that are done in the style of the earliest English-made Dean's Rag Book Mickey dolls. One is slightly larger than the other and has his arm around the smaller Mickey. Both of their long tails curl around their bodies in relief on the lid. Great Art Deco style container. Tiny traces of paint wear. VF. Exceptional design and very charming. First we've seen in our 45 years. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
