6x9x1.5" deep box contains toy which stands 8" tall. Japan, 1930s. Distributed by Borgfeldt. Box includes image of the toy on lid, two side panels depict Mickey and Minnie holding hands with an owl in the bkg. while two other sides depict Mickey playing a piano upon which Minnie sits. Moderate box wear/aging mostly along edges with some faint creases and surface paper rubs. 1" tear on one side panel but corners remain tight. Fine. Toy consists of wire metal frame with built-in key and attached is a 5" tall celluloid figure of Mickey. Works. Small bit of black color missing from one ear, front of pants has shallow indent. One leg has a tiny crack where it connects to metal rod but stays in place for display and during operation. Still displays VF. Scarce with box.
