Auction #202 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1553 in auction 202
Item Description
Box is 1.25x1.75x8.5" long. A mouse had a large meal on the lid but enough text remains to read "Mother Goose Tops" with most of word Mother missing plus a large hole at left which includes a narrow segment off the upper edge of the interior box. The tops themselves are in gorgeous color and undamaged. Two of these depict "Little Red Riding Hood." One depicts "Jack The Giant Killer." Two depict "Little Bo-Peep." Curl has name of maker Bastian Bros. and we would estimate these to be from the 1920's. Each celluloid is 1.5" dia. with a thin wooden spindle on the top surface while on the underside is a much larger wooden peg. Rare.
