Item Description
Each fabric patch is 2x5.5". One shows eagle logo with text "Pittsburgh Sun Telegraph." Second patch reads "W.R. Hearst/Citizen Rifle/Championships." White background area of each patch has some tan tone but very consistent with the only actual stain line showing faintly along the left side of the Hearst patch. He and his newspapers sponsored rifle competitions in schools going back as far as the 1920's. We would date these as sometime between the 1930's and early 1950's. First we've seen.
