Auction #202 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1553 in auction 202
Item Description
4" long by 2.5" tall beautifully detailed pair of thin celluloid sheets with a seam along the top edge which has a 1.25" hairline split but the piece is still holding very firmly together. In addition, the steer's front left horn is mostly snapped off but nearly all of the rear horn remains. Front reads "Steer Your Orders Our Way/Joseph Meier's Sons." Reverse has advertising panel promoting their "Extra Made Belting." Interior has barely used pair of yellow felts for wiping ink from a pen point. Back of the steer has tiny maker's name W&H. We've seen the same concept designed as a pig and a dog but first we've seen as a steer. Rare.
