Item Description
Pair, each 5.5x8.75". These tablets are the first domestic and most likely first worldwide pieces of licensed Mickey Mouse merchandise produced. The deal to produce these tablets was cut in 1929, one of the two has a 1930 copyright "Walter E. Disney" while the other is unmarked. Both are complete and unused and with wonderful cover art. One features Mickey seated on a stool and wearing a "Dunce" cap. Aged, but VF. The other depicts Mickey feverishly playing a saxophone as he tries to keep pace with a large metronome. Small tip off lower left corner along with aging. Fine. These tablets are rarely seen and this is a great pair.
