Item Description
5x12x7.75" tall by N.N. Hill Brass Co. ©1939. Tin base with wood wheels and attached figures of Ferdinand and Matador both wood with paper labels. Missing pull cord but works and when pulled along, Matador revolves while Ferdinand raises and lowers his head ringing a bell. All over scattered wear/aging. Oxidation to bell and disc the matador is attached to. Back end of Ferdinand has a 2" hairline in the wood on one side and 4" hairline on the other, both with color touch-ups that are only noticeable upon close inspection. Otherwise paper labels remain bright and with great color. Both wood figures have some additional edge wear, red base also has some paint wear. Still displays nicely, overall VG. Rare, our last example (also in VG condition) sold for $695. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
