Item Description
Set of 96, each 2.5x3-1/8" issued in the 1930s by Gum Inc. This is a complete set of the so-called "Regular Cards" #1-96 which was followed by the rare Mickey Mouse w/movie star cards that continued the numbering #97-120 but in the gum card world they are actually considered to be a separate set. This set features great art on the fronts w/question and answer text on backs. Set primarily features Mickey and Minnie Mouse although other characters appearing on certain cards include Pluto, Horace, Clarabelle. Two cards also feature Walt Disney at his drawing table. Our photo shows eight card examples including the two of Walt as well as the first and last cards in the set. About 50% of these cards are overall VF w/just lt. to moderate margin aging, small corner tip wear. No creases. About 25% are slightly better and grade Exc. w/just the slightest trace of margin aging and fairly sharp corners. No creases. About 25% show a bit more wear and aging, grade Fine. These have more noticeable margin aging, rounded corners, etc. A few cards have a lt. corner crease but no significant creasing. Four cards have more noticeable wear, two w/creases and these cards are VG. Overall still a very nice set and an excellent way to obtain this classic gum card issue all at once.
