Item Description
6.5x7.5x3” deep. c. 1950s. Incised “WDP” copyright along with series number and this is "401." Painted plaster with recessed area on back for holding ball of string. Hole in mouth as made for string. Hook on back for hanging. This and the following five string holders (items #2579-2583) comprise the complete set of Alice characters produced. All are among the best character string holders we have ever seen in terms of likenesses/design/color. All are the first we've seen in our 45 years. Exc.
