Item Description
Beautifully crafted fully three dimensional replica of binoculars in brass with ornate designs measuring only 15/16" tall. Tiny wire around one viewing hole apparently serves as a loop for a chain. Held to light is b/w photo of one ship in each viewing hole. The one designating "U.S.S. Maine" is quite clear and nearly all details are visible. The one showing "Massachusetts" shows the front half of the ship but details are obscured on the rear half. Likely 1898. Only example we've seen. Very neat and with N. Mint brass luster.
