Item Description
2.5" cello. Usually seen as a 3.5" cello and we believe that this variety was issued only in Detroit following JFK's June 1963 good will visit to Germany and Berlin where his appearance before Berlin crowd was prefaced by classic opening statement "Ich Bin Ein Berliner." Design is in nationality colors of Germany of upper black, center orange, lower yellow. Unlike the 3.5" size, this example has added text "Berliner Verein-Detroit." Black panel has a few pinpoint air spots and one that is 1/8" but still displays cleanly w/high gloss and no celluloid splits. Exc.
