Item Description
2-1/8" celluloid with original rwb ribbon in the upper slotted area. Front shows photo of the men in "Co. M/51st Iowa" while below is text "Welcome Home/Red Oak, Ia." Reverse in red text is a list of their extensive "Engagements Of Co. 'M' 51st Iowa Vol./Luzon, Philippine Islands." Couple light surface scratches on the front showing only in reflected light. Item is still Exc. and displays N. Mint. The 51st arrived at Manilla Bay on Dec. 6, 1898. They lost 41 men in battle. They returned home around October, 1899 which inspired this item. Rare.
