Item Description
6.5” tall. 5.5” dia. solid marble base. Platform base of sculpture has raised lettering "Memories" and sculpture itself depicts Mickey opening a chest full of hats from his past cartoon adventures. He holds a top hat and wears his hat from Brave Little Tailor. Hats in the chest are from Steamboat Willie, The Band Concert, Fantasia (Sorcerer's Apprentice) and a straw hat worn in multiple shorts including Mr. Mouse Takes A Trip. Base has incised Disney © along with artist name "Bill Toma" and edition number "157/200." Toma has also signed the base in black ink. This very limited edition of just 200 pieces was issued at $1,200. An exquisitely executed and incredibly imaginative sculpture. Mint as issued. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
