Auction #202 - Part II
Item numbers 1554 through 3213 in auction 202
Item Description
7/8" with backpaper of Phila. Badge Co. The studio, apparently distraught with the Mickey image shown on items #1597-1599, in 1930 forced a change in design on the movie theater owners with a Mickey Mouse Club. This is the resulting design which conforms with the studio's most used Mickey depiction. Here his hand is raised in a greeting with the other resting on his hip and text below is "Copy. 1928-1930/By W.E. Disney." Cello has light all over surface wear but no deep marks and hardly showing at all unless in reflected light. Celluloid still displays clean and with full gloss.
