Auction #202 - Part II
Item numbers 1554 through 3213 in auction 202
Item Description
This exceptionally large ring was offered in 1951. The cannon barrel comes in an aluminum variety offered here as well as a brass variety offered as the following item. The base on both varieties is brass with adjustable bands picturing the Quaker man logo on one side while opposite shows cereal grains shooting from a cannon barrel. Mounted on the ring top is a black metal frame with red plastic segment surrounding the barrel. Cannon has spring loaded plunger which when pulled out servers to shoot objects dropped into the barrel out into space. The top surface of the red frame has about 3/16" very trivial surface rubs and hardly noticeable while the rest of the piece is essentially Mint and overall an outstanding example seldom found this nice.
