Item Description
4 3/8" diameter 4.5" tall overall with wonderful design resembling underside of a burlesque dancer's skirt with legs up in the air with gold accent high heels at top. c. late 1940s. Earl Carrol was a producer-director-lyricist on Broadway whose racy shows w/lightly clad showgirls made him notorious. He opened the Earl Carroll Theater in the late 1930s. Underside has incised "Aurora Hollywood" maker mark. Extremely tiny chip at top gold accent rim edge of ashtray, otherwise bright and VF/Exc.
