Item Description
This is the third Superboy cover in his long run in the title, and it really personalizes Superboy in his community; everyone on the cover seems to know him. The artistic style shows Superboy at a much younger age than many may remember him. His size is just slightly larger than that of the other youngsters pictured. The portrayal of the other kids is one of the highlights of this cover. Sure, one or two are looking at Superboy, but the rest are clearly hypnotized by the large jar of jelly beans. Even the little dog is salivating at the prospect of a full jar of beans. Since Superboy has correctly guessed the number of jelly beans, it looks like the kids are going to get their wish. The issue also contains stories featuring Green Arrow, Aquaman, The Shinning Knight and Johnny Quick. Contributing to the interior art are George Papp and Mort Meskin. The pages are off-white. The book is CGC-certified 8.5 (VF+).
