Item Description
The cover of this issue features not only the Flash himself, but an appearance by those numbskulls, Winky, Blinky and Noddy. They had first appeared in All Flash #5. At the time, their addition was intended to provide some comic relief for the Flash. The three of them certainly reminded a lot of people of another popular three-member team of the day, the Three Stooges. Compared to the Stooges, these three were absolute idiots. Regardless of their intelligence or skills, the three of them were popular enough to displace the Atom in All- American Comics. For the first five issues of this title, the book was known as All-Flash Quarterly. The All- Flash title was canceled with issue #32. That cancellation also marked the last appearance of the three dimwits. They did make an appearance during the Silver Age, or at least their Earth-One counterparts did in Flash #117. The cover to this issue is by E.E. Hibbard. He also handles some of the interior art. The issue features writing by Gardner Fox. The pages are white. The book is CGC-certified 9.0 (VF/NM). The CGC Census lists this copy as the third highest-graded copy they have seen.
