Item Description
c. 1940s. 13x18" set #15 of the "First Series of 50 War Poster Labels Sponsored By Artists For Victory, Inc." Many of these were never done as actual posters. Great graphics and wonderful designs on many. Each has artist's biography on back of each stamp. Based in NYC between 1942 and 1946 the Artists For Victory organization included a war poster competition along with other activities. A few stamps have loose perforations but sheet is overall bright and VF. Superb graphics.
