Auction #203 - Part II
Item numbers 1429 through 3205 in auction 203
Item Description
Painted tin litho toy #685 from 1912 made in Germany. Consists of 8.5" tall black man figure and 4.75" long tin base with built-in key. Toy works and the wire rod that connects the figure to the base moves up and down in turn causing the figure to move about as if dancing. Both arms originally were held on by tabs which are missing and have been replaced with wire from inside attached to small holes at top of each arm. Moderate wear to platform. One tab off of one knee but leg piece stays on fine when operated. Missing generic wire cane which could easily be replaced. VG overall. Nice detail.
