Item numbers 1 through 1428 in auction 203
Item Description
15x20". Paper poster. Lower text reads “National Citizens Political Action Committee, N.Y.” Likely 1948 and pro-Truman depicting New York factory workers worried about the economy and in fear of Dewey causing an unemployment relapse that would force unemployed workers to sell apples to survive as in the 1930s. Top background has lt. mark .5" deep x9" long from a piece of adhesive once used for mounting on the reverse but now cleaned off. There is a barely visible vertical fold and very minor horizontal creasing. Outer edges have nine tears, .5" to 1.5" long. All repaired with archival tape on the reverse and barely showing. Poster remains extremely clean and displays VF. Rare.
