Item Description
15.25" tall overall on 4.75" dia. base. Tin litho/painted tin toy has patent date of 1-20-1925. Modeled after original Ferris wheel for Columbian Expo of 1893 in Chicago. That original Ferris wheel used enclosed cars similar to ones on this toy. Base has nail hole. Overall paint darkening. Fine. Possibly had push rod mechanism to turn at one time. Open tooth gear on one side was no doubt part of this mechanism. Interesting toy.
