Item Description
1930s. Box is 1.25x3.5x9"long with nice graphics on two sides with Tracy holding pop pistol telling Tess, Pat, Junior, and Chief Patton "Pull The Trigger And Call All Cars" as five policemen rush towards them at lower left. Side panels have instructions for "Replacing Sparkling Metals". Box is evenly tanned and is missing most of one side flap. VG, but one side would display Fine. 7.75" long gun is painted pressed steel with copper plated cylinder with decal of Tracy on one side signed by creator Chester Gould and jewel on other side. This is not a click gun like the following two lots #2532-33. Pulling the extended trigger produces a loud popping sound. Gun was also designed to produce sparks although no flint is present. Unique design of removable steel band at front of barrel makes flint replacement easy. Scattered lt. wear with some lt. scratches most evident on decal side. Overall Fine. First we've seen of this style in our 45 years.
