c. late 1950s. 11x11.75x6.5" deep generic corrugated cardboard box has ink stamp on one side "435 Med. Tan". Box is tanned and underside flaps have some creasing and have child's pencil drawing along with date of December 20, 1959. Box is VG. Contains original shipping insert which holds 9x10.5x3.25" tall 100% wool hat #WPL5923 "Junior Medium". Hat has interesting cord with wooden pull which runs through outside brim. Crown has trim ribbon around edge with graphics of Roy, Trigger and western scenes including entrance to ranch. Inside of crown has "Roy Rogers RR Plus Brand" logo. Underside of brim has bit of surface damage from insect along with one tiny pinpoint hole which went the whole way through. Blends well with hat's color and barely noticeable. Fine overall.
