Item Description
Made by American Toy Mfg Co. Chicago shortly after 1942 raid on Tokyo. 9x12x.5" deep thin cardboard box has front art image of planes leaving American aircraft carrier and bombing "Tokio". Text on back includes "April 18, 1942 Is A Date The War Lords Of Japan With Never Forget! The Japanese Were Given An Idea Of The Terrific Price They Must Pay For Their Cowardly Attacks On Pearl Harbor And The Philippines. Re-Enact This Mission With Tokio Raiders". Box has some wear and color rubs around edges with some lt. edge creasing. Fine. Contains thin cardboard sheets with designs to cut out and make 23" "Shangri-la" carrier and ten B-25 bombers along with three colored paper sticker sheets. One sticker sheet is missing 1x1" piece at upper right corner o/w contents are VF/Exc. Interesting WWII toy.
