Item Description
Both are 1930s and unlisted in Hake's "Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia". Each is slick paper with four pages. First is 6-5/8x11" with cover art of kids in various disguises including policeman, cowboy, black porter. Text includes "Gee Whiz - Some Fun!" and has shield at lower right promoting "Gang Busters Disguise Kit By Miner's" with additional text "Make-Up As 50 Different Characters". Insides has lengthy text with small images of disguises including those shown on front as well as text for rodeo girl, colored girl, nightclub hostess, Chinese girl. Back cover promotes "Miner's Juvenile Movie Make-Up Kit" with box image. Second folder is 8-3/8x11" with bold front cover graphics of policeman on radio with text "Calling All Theaters To Radio's Most Exciting Program" and opens to text promoting "Members Of The Original Gang Busters Cast Playing Leading Roles In-Person" along with art image of policeman with pistol and policeman with tommy gun shooting gangster. Large text across bottom "A Thunderbolt Of Action Drama That Will Rock Audiences Back On Their Heels!" Back cover includes text "Be The First In Your City To Play This Record-Buster Attraction" managed by Music Corporation of America with list of eight offices including one in London. First folder has two horizontal folds through center as mailed and second one has one horizontal fold through center as mailed. A few minor hairline color rubs along fold lines, otherwise both are Fine/VF. Nicely designed. See radio badge #1648.
