Item Description
1950s made by Thomas Manufacturing Corp. New Jersey. 6.5x6.5x2.25" deep die-cut box has nice lid graphics of Air Force helicopter coming to the rescue of downed plane on island with aircraft carrier on ocean in bkg. Lid was designed to bend and die-cut area to pop up for store display. Perforations are broken but lid was never bent. Box is Exc. Box bottom has text explaining use of "Flying Windmills" Air Force helicopters and underside has instructions for use. 4.25" long hard plastic helicopter is designed to actually fly by way of pulling a cord wrapped around its rotor shaft. Toy is old store stock and NM. Interesting concept.
