Item Description
Teapot is 7.5" tall. Nicely designed with deco touches. Made with hand done color under glaze on raised image. Blue accent appears on handle and lid. Marked on bottom Vitreous Hand Dec. China. 1" visible hairline on lid with crows feet on underside. Despite lid problems, still displays Exc. Lot also includes two bowls. Each is 10” dia. 2.5” tall. Both with same graphics. One reads “New York World’s Fair 1939.” Other one has same graphics but missing dated text. Bottom of 1939 bowl has colorful logo reading “Union Made/1939 New York World’s Fair Souvenir-Made By Paden City Pottery Made In USA/Paden City W. Va.” Scratches on bowl bottom. One chip under rim. Displays Fine. Other bowl has same graphics. Different border. Bottom reads “Souvenir New York World’s Fair Union Made 1940.” Gold accent luster remains. Graphics very bright. No scratches. 1940 variety NM.
