Item Description
Each is 6.7x8.75" hard cover with 88 bw pages of comic strip reprints. This group comprises four of the six titles published. See “Smitty At The Ball Game” Cupples & Leon book #1328. Dates and titles are 1928 “Smitty”, 1929 “The Flying Office Boy”, 1932 “In The North Woods”, and 1933 “At Military School”. Covers on first three titles have some dust soil and lt. wear with a few color rubs here and there and bumps at corner tips. Fine. Fourth title has covers more heavily worn with color rubs, split along spine and 2" bit of surface paper missing from back cover. Cover is Good. First title has inside page crayon. VG. Insides of next two titles are a bit aged but overall VF+. Inside pages of fourth title have some lt. creasing and dust soil. VG/Fine. Nice specialty front cover and title page art by creator Walter Berndt.
