Item Description
Each is 6.5x10" hard cover "Privately Printed At The Printing House Of G.J. Thieme Nijmegen-Holland 1929." Volume 1 has 208 pages and vol. 2 has 272 pages. Each has 12 original etchings by Clara Tice. Each frontispiece page has tipped in plate at top with text "To One Hundred Choicest Falstaff Connoisseur Collectors This Is No. 70 Of 100 Copies Entirely Set By Hand Containing 12 Original Etchings Hand Colored By Most Cordially Yours Clara Tice." Number "70" is hand inked and signature is hand signed in pencil. Plate has art image of lounging nude girl. Set contains hundreds of erotic poems with wonderful graphics by Tice nicely hand colored. Covers have dust soil and foxing and spines are tanned and coming a bit loose at seams. Vol. 1 has a few ink marks at lower right of front cover and both volumes have cover moisture marks. Overall covers VG/Fine. Insides are VF. Well done set with high quality printing.
