Item Description
c.1960s. High quality heavy cotton twill jacket with satin lapels, cuffs and buttons has colorful lining and has Masonic pin on left lapel. Matching pants have satin piping on sides. Right inside jacket pocket has stitched “Rex Allen” cloth tag as does inside pants pocket. Inside of jacket and waist lining have “Nudie’s Rodeo Tailors, North Hollywood, Calif.” stitched cloth tag. Trace of lt. wear but VF overall. Rex Allen (1920-1999) was a Western cowboy star, singer and songwriter most noted for the song “Don’t Go Near The Indians” which reached #5 on Billboard magazine’s Hot Country Singles chart in November 1962. Beginning in 1950 Allen starred as himself in 19 movies along with his horse Koko. He also narrated films for Walt Disney nature and western film productions.
