Item Description
1.25" has concave metal back with fixed horizontal barpin. There is no maker's name but it includes a 1903 date and is one of the best early advertising designs. Features include tiny boat with smoking stack located in the ocean behind the Statue's base. At lower left is blue award ribbon inscribed "The Best Ever." Red text across the Statue's base specifies "George Urban Milling Co. Buffalo, N.Y., U.S.A." and along the lower right edge is the 1903 copyright. This is all in addition to the bold title "Liberty Flour." The red color of "Flour" has a little gray tone mixed in the lettering and left of the Statue's raised arm is .25" somewhat deep scratch but hardly noticeable unless the piece is viewed extremely close. Upper left edge has four virtual pinpoint nicks all but invisible plus one on the side edge at 10 o'clock just barely showing. Still a beautiful piece and one of only six in our 45 years.
