Tin litho pair from the 1950s by J. Chein. Sand pail is 4.25" tall size w/wraparound scene of Disney characters enjoying a day at the zoo. These are Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Donand & Daisy and their nephews who ride a merry-go-round. Trace of wear to interior. Exterior has some scattered nicks but remains glossy. Fine. Bank is 6.5" in length. Marked "2nd National Duck Bank" and designed like a building. The "Teller" window on front has Donald image and when locked into place a tray representing his tongue sticks out. A coin is then placed on this and a button to the left side is pressed causing his tongue to go back into his mouth depositing the coin as door shuts to reveal second Donald portrait. Additional images are of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pinocchio with Figaro. Goofy and Pluto as guards being distracted by Donald's nephews who load a wheelbarrow full of money. Small trace of wear but working, has trap and glossy. VF.
