Item Description
3" overall with silver rivet holding three layers of felt. Top layer shows farmer with rack and mound with text "Stowell Mf'g & Foundry Co./Hay There/So. Milwaukee With/Lift Up." When upper layer is raised the pink felt layer reveals text "Make Hay While The Sun Shines With Stowell Hay Tools." This layer includes patent number and name of maker "E. Promis Co. Phila., Pa." Some loss of the brighter red color from the center felt layer but otherwise Mint as issued in the early 1900s. Only example we've seen.
