Item Description
This TR piece is a large 2-1/8x2.75" tall. The beautifully embossed tin shell is a full .25" deep made w/five tiny tabs on the back that fold over a flat silvered sheet of tin w/small notched cut-out that holds 1" vertical stickpin. Front is beautifully lithographed w/details in black/fleshtone w/soft red color accents on cheeks and darker red color on lips. The embossed areas including outlines of his hair, raised facial details around the eyes and glasses, nose, mustache and chin. Even the ear areas have a little embossing to add to the realistic portrait details. There are about a dozen tiny paint flakes widely scattered no more than 1/16". There are two slightly larger paint flakes, each just a little more than 1/16" and these are positioned above and to the right of the eye area on the right side and the other is off the side edge of the nose on the right side. Overall paint is about 97% complete. We are aware of only one other example in the hobby. Rare and from the Hake collection.
