Item Description
This is a rare, apparently store-bought ring, in a large ring size 11 and made with a non-adjustable band. We had a very worn example of this ring back in Auction 167 that had all the luster gone plus wear and still managed to realize $180. This example has about 80% of its silver luster with the missing luster off the lower portion of the band just revealing a little of the underneath golden brass tone. Each side of the ring has a pair of overlapping boxing glove designs. The ring top has his portrait with a vertical wreath accent on each side and below is a raised panel bearing his facsimile signature. The inside surface of the band bears the trademark of the ring maker Uncas. This is listed in the Hake Pop Culture Guide as JLO-7 with values ranging from $150 in Good to $700 in NM. This ring grades VF.
