Auction #203 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1428 in auction 203
Item Description
2-1/8" tall with the text on the barpin. Medal suspended below shows the original coat of arms of the Virginia Company of London with the Latin words which translate to naming Virginia as "The Fifth Part" of the King's dominions, the others being England and Wales (as one), France, Scotland, and Ireland. The reverse of this shows the state seal of the state of New York. Reverse has tiny mark of maker W&H. Just the tiniest luster wear on the piece and it displays NM. Morry Greener Collection. Also see wonderful Theodore Roosevelt button issued for 1907 Georgia Day at Jamestown #264.
