9x13x2.75" deep box contains nice quality coonskin cap by Weathermac Corp. c. 1955. Lid features image of Fess Parker as Davy on top and all sides plus notes "Fits All Head Sizes." Box has just the slightest aging, remains bright, clean and tight. Exc. The hat is covered by actual animal fur and complete with 3" dia. thick cardboard attachment w/photo of Fess Parker as Davy. As is typical, the staple that held this in place rusted so now has a small stain at top center and is held in place by a straight pin. Also, the staple that held the tail has rusted so now held in place by a safety pin. Neither defect affects appearance for display which still looks Exc. overall. A Davy classic.
