Item Description
First is 1-3/16" pin showing Shirley on white enamel ice skates and posing with her hands extending the corners of her blue enamel dress. A red star accent positioned by her head. There is a little blue enamel off at her upper leg and the white metal circle surrounding the image and her name is just a little less than perfectly round. The next two Shirley pieces were issued in three different designs. The design not offered here was a brass bracelet suspending her die-cut brass portrait which is included on the two pieces in this lot. First is a 18" brass link chain holding 5/8" brass portrait pendant of her. The second piece is a 1.5" tall pin suspending the same portrait. Each of these has just the slightest luster loss. The forth item are a pair of silvered metal ice skates with the name "Sonja Henie" on one blade of each skate. A small piece of leather joins these to a bar pin. A little silver luster off the bar pin but otherwise Exc. Henie was a three time Olympic champion and ten time world champion. In 1936 she turned professional as both an actor and performer in ice shows and this pin is a souvenir from one of those shows c. late 1930s.
