This small and scarce set of buttons promoted a children's clothing line. At least six of the buttons feature a design the same as those characters in the Kellogg's Pep comic character set. However there are also designs unique to this set. Previously we knew of 14 but just recently we have had a report of a Henry button with the design matching the Pep button but with the inscription Comic Togs on the reverse. This lot consists of a pair of 13/16" litho buttons and both of these characters are unique to the Togs set. First is "Joe Palooka." This has about a dozen near pinpoint paint marks off the background and edges but very little on his portrait area and still VF and with nice gloss. Second is also unique to this set and pictures "Steve Canyon." This has a few pinpoint paint dots off the background and a 1/16" scratch at lower right. Again about VF. See following four lots.
