Item Description
1949 General Mills premium with brass bands holding telescoping tube on the top that opens to 2" long. Some nice luster highlights remain on the ring base. Aluminum tube has a little gray color on the end which extends but vast majority retains silver luster. Ring front has small brass cutout through which a 3-7/8" long filmstrip is inserted and then the film is viewed by holding the ring to the light. Filmstrip is titled "U.S. Marines" and has various frames of military men in military action scenes. While the filmstrip is complete it has a diagonal break at its midsection with a neat tape repair which does not interfere with using it in the ring. These color filmstrips are probably a twenty times scarcer than the ring itself.
