The ring base has a muted but glossy copper finish. Underside of the ring top is stamped "Sterling Top." This refers to a silver rectangle set into the top of the ring with a narrow raised frame edge. At the center of this silver plate is the facsimile signature of "Tom Mix." The plate has beautiful lustrous silver finish much cleaner and brighter than normally seen. With the ring comes original 2.75x7" mailing envelope which has just a few ripple lines and tiny hole where original staple was removed plus a very tiny 1/8" hole in the reverse where the ring made a small mark during mailing.
