The brass badge is designed like a military award medal and is 1.5" tall. Hanger bar reads "Capt. Midnight." Suspension with propeller and wing design reads "Flight Commander." Back of this piece has "Capt. Midnight" facsimile signature with text "Awarded For Distinguished Service." This has scattered tarnish marks but still most of its glossy luster. The package even includes the corrugated cardboard this piece was shipped in. Second is 3.25" tall folder which opens to 6.5". This illustrates the badge and includes the "Official Commission" certificate to be signed by the person receiving it. Neither the owner's line on the front of the folder nor the certificate have been signed although on one inner panel of the folder there is a 2" square tan area caused by the corrugated cardboard which held the badge. We've seen only about three examples of the folder and the 3.5x6.75" mailing envelope is the first we've ever offered. This has just a few minor creases from mailing.
