Item Description
Dolls are both c. late 1920s. Skeezix is 12.25" tall and 1.25" thick and Uncle Walt is 26" tall and 2.5" thick. Each has artist/creator's name King stamped on back along with character name. Both have light to moderate scattered wear with some dust soil and color rubs. Overall both are VG. Hard cover book is 7.25x9.5" copyright 1924 by the Reilly & Lee Co. with 122 story pages nicely illustrated by creator Frank King with wonderful orange tinted specialty art. Storyline basically tells of how Walt Wallet found Skeezix as an infant through his first early years. Scattered wear. VG. Uncle Walt doll is scarce. Nice group of three early Gasoline Alley comic strip related items.
