Item Description
Two items from 1950. 1x3x4" wide thin cardboard box with return address of "Ralston Purina Co." has specially printed border on front with bow including tag design with text "Your Lapel-Pin Perfume Atomizer". Contains die-cut thin cardboard inner box which has nice photo of Taylor on lid top with text "From Elizabeth Taylor To You!" Flap lifts up to reveal double inner flap with bow which opens to reveal packing paper holding 2.25" long brass accent atomizer with pin for attachment. Inside flaps have illustrated instructions for use and include text "Popularized By Elizabeth Taylor Currently Seen In M-G-M Hilarious Movie Father Of The Bride". Shipping box has very faint moisture mark, otherwise appears unused and Fine. Inside box has trace of lt. tanning with a few lt. creases. Fine. Pin has trace of aging. VF. Rare as boxed. 4-1/8x6" issue of Quick magazine for Feb. 13, 1950 has Elizabeth Taylor cover article. 64 pages include 4-page article on Liz. Exc. Magazine just comes along but a nice cover feature from same year as premium pin.
