27x41" one-sheet for 15-chapter Columbia serial and an original release from 1955. Starred John Hart as Captain Africa "Mighty Jungle Avenger." This was the long-awaited sequel to Columbia's 1943 The Phantom. Produced by Sam Katzman who refused to pay King Features their royalty demands and changed the name to "Captain Africa." The 1943 Phantom still appeared in this serial via a vast amount of stock footage. This poster is for Chapter 10 "The Vanishing Princess" and at lower left is inset photo scene of gun wielding man ready to shoot a man. Rest of poster features choice art including very large image of Captain Africa holding guns plus additional action scenes and jungle animal images. Very minor trace of wear on margins and original fold lines including one .5" tear at top with tape remnants in corners but still an exceptional example w/fresh appearance and vibrant color. Still displays VF.
